My Gypsy Line

I love the idea of getting in touch with my roots. My lineage is so important to me, I want to instill the values of family into our son, in hopes that he never forgets where he came from, and now until I'm on my deathbed, he will never be able to look at me, or hug me, without remembering who he is always!! <3<3<3

One angle of my beautiful gypsy! Front Facing.
                                                             Other angle! Side facing.
She embodies my religion and my lineage, and I love this gypsy for doing this for me! If I could meet her in real life, I would probably hug her because she is my extended family! We are beautiful gypsies! ^_^

The Big Question

Why does society assume that because we are Pagan, we can't take care of children, have normal families, or live normal lives? I'm not saying everyone says that, or feels that way, I've just noticed in the two years of being a mother, and even throughout my life and listening to people talk about different topics of life, that when the conversation of Paganism or "witchcraft" or magick comes up, most people turn their noses up at the idea. It's why when I meet new people, I've made it a point to let them know I'm a pagan mother. Not outright, but if religion comes up, I will kindly respond with a simple "I'm Pagan." Most times, I get a raised eyebrow, or flooded with questions. This pleases me because I get to educate the public on what it is to be me and on my religion that, like many christians, I'm passionate about. But back to the topic at hand. Being a pagan mother I lead a very normal life, I go to school full-time, my husband works full-time, my son goes to daycare, and I practice my religion just like everyone else. I would like some feedback on this sensitive subject. What do you think? How do you feel about Paganism and family life? Remember, your neighbor of 20 years may be a Pagan, or your doctor, nurse. We are many, in a sea of silenced voices. Have a great day everyone, and Blessed Be. )O(
