Weekend Shout-Out

I have renamed Shout-Out Fridays to The Weekend Shout-Out, since I haven't been able to keep up with the blog every Friday! Sorry about my lack of posts lately, but with the crochet business starting up, plus working on more reviews and giveaways, on top of being a full-time mommy and college student, it's been real crazy in the Johnson house! Anyways, to get to our faves of the week.

Favorite Sites:
First we have http://www.couponhauls.com/! They not only have great deals on their site ALWAYS, but they also keep their fans updated with giveaways and sales, as well as offers from various other sites! They have other tabs such as Dr Oz Says, which is an advice tab on gaining information from the great Dr Oz for different ailments, losing weight, and staying healthy overall. Another tab is their Earn Money at Home tab, which gives info on obviously, working at home! It's a great site, they are also on Facebook and Twitter, which they keep updated a dozen times a day with all sorts of new goodies!

Next up is http://www.americanfamily.com/! It's a daily $50,000 giveaway site, who doesn't love the chance to win $50,000?! On top of that they have Instant Win Games, where you can win various prizes, as well as a point system for a rewards catalog, where you gain points by completing offers, going through the website and doing different tasks, and even by playing games! It's a great site to go to when you're bored, and you want to pass the time by making your way to earning free stuff!

Last but certainly not least is Tracie's Giveaway Finds on Facebook! This page is run by an awesome woman, how despite all she goes through in her daily life, she still finds the time to manage her page and share dozens of giveaways with her fans. She hosts a big giveaway every month to help other people/businesses get noticed, and in turn, they give away things from their business, anywhere from full size items, to percentages off orders, sometimes they do both! It's a great page for networking, and if you want some assistance with having your business get notices, head on over to her page, her July giveaway is going to be open soon and she is accepting sponsors NOW!

Favorite Blogs:
First on the list this week is Pink Clouds! She celebrates everything Pink and Girly! I love going to this blog because she always has aa ton of giveaways going on, and being a woman and a mommy, it's a go-to blog if you want to enter in for some yummy girly goodies! You can enter in for anything from lipstick to nail polish, from lotion to body wash and shower gel (her current giveaway)! My favorite tab is the Shop With Me tab, where she posts different things she buys and shares her experiences with them, a very fun read! She is on Facebook as well, and she posts her giveaways there too!

Next up is my younger sister's blog Love Me Tender! Yes, I have posted it here before, but I'm posting it again because now it's better than ever! Her mission is to help and educate moms on breastfeeding, highlighting the benefits for mommy and baby, as she is a mother of two, one of her munchkins currently being breastfed. She's trying to do something really good, and I applaud her every day for it. She also talks about other blogs and sites as well, and about what goes on in her daily life, as every blogger does! She is also on Facebook and Twitter, though she is just getting started, but doing great nonetheless!

Our last blog of the week is The Country Cook! This is my new favorite blog, and it's just delicious! She is a southern woman who knows her way around a kitchen, and makes it easy for those who love to cook, or aspire to be cooks, to make some delicious dishes! I personally have fallen in love with her delicious, out of this world Poke Cake recipes! I have tried almost every one of them, and they are the easiest things to make! So, head on over to The Country Cook, and see what she's cookin' up today!

Well, that's all for this week's shout-outs! Until next time, keep it magickal!

Pagan Blessed

I thank the Goddess every day for blessing me with such a smart, amazing child. Kriztofer-Aiden has been a blessing since he was born, he was a miracle baby that we thought we would never be able to bring home. After my first miscarriage in 2006, and numerous testing and dr appointments, I was told I probably couldn't have kids. In 2009 I found out I was pregnant with Kriztofer, and considering I was on The Pill, made him more of a miracle baby. My thoughts were that perhaps the pill put the hormones in my body that I previously lacked, the reason why it was so hard for me to get pregnant in the first place. I had an almost perfect pregnancy minus the three months of morning sickness, and had no other issues throughout the pregnancy. When I went into labor on May 9 (Mother's Day 2010), I knew it was going to be his birthday because I looked at my phone, which said 12:00 midnight, and I said "Happy Birthday Kriztofer" then fell asleep. An hour and a half later we were leaving to the hospital because I woke up to go to the bathroom, and for the first time in 9 months, I was bleeding. So we rushed to the hospital and I was sent straight up to L&D to be put on monitors and be examined. To make a long story shorter, I was in labor for about 12 hours, and when I was finally in active labor they had to induce because I was dilating past 6 cm for over 4 hours. Then I was told I had to have an emergency C-Section because my blood pressure spiked, I developed a 104 fever and the baby's heart rate was rapidly dropping, from a healthy 150-162 to under 40 BPM. After pushing for what seemed like forever the midwife was ready to give up and go to the OR when my wonderful OB/GYN pushed her out of the way and said "we are getting this baby out right now!" After three pushes with Dr. King and a bilateral episiotomy, little Kriztofer-Aiden was finally born....Stillborn....He wasn't breathing after I finally pushed him out, they set him on my tummy for me to see him for a couple seconds then they rushed him to the Incubator bed and started working on him. Finally a weak heart beat, then crying...Our baby was alive!

He was kept in the NICU for observation, the longest week of our lives. Needless to say, two years later, Kriztofer is healthy and thriving, the little terror that he is ^_^ He's an amazing child, wise beyond his mere two years of life, but I wouldn't have him any other way. He truly is our little miracle baby, and our little blessing from the Goddess.

Anyways, I just thought I would share with you all how our little blessing came to be!
As always, Keep it Magickal, and remember, every moment you get with your children is magickal, and so are they!

Tommee Tippee Explora easiflow Sippy Cup Review and Giveaway!

I'm super excited to finally be announcing my first giveaway, and with one of my favorite baby product companies, Tommee Tippee! Since my son was born, aside from nursing, all he knew was Tommee Tippee. He started with the Closer to Nature bottles, which when he had to be put on special formula we used the oh-so-convenient formula holders that would fit right into the bottles for on the go ease. When he was bottle fed we used the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Milk Feeding Bib, and as he got older he transitioned to the Explora Trainer Cups, and onto the Sippy Cups. Needless to say. Kriztofer is a Tommee Tippee baby through and through!

Here is a little information about the Explora easiflow Sippy Cup Set:
  • You Get 2 11 fl oz/325 ml cups
  • They are Stage 2 cups, meaning your baby can start on them at 7-9 mos
  • They have Advanced-flo technology for easy drinking
  • Unique soft-flex spout protects baby's gums
  • Comes with an attached Hygeine Cap so you can cover the spout when not in use
  • The cups are Truly non-spill and leak proof
  • Most importantly, they are BPA Free
Some Information about The Clever Bit:

Unlike other valve systems, our active sensor valve is designed by a physicist to be both so sensitive that liquid flows on demand, yet truly spill and leak proof.

NOW YOU CAN FIND TOMMEE TIPPEE AT TARGET!!
If you would like to try out a Tommee Tippee Explora Sippy Cup, you can order them right here from Target!

About my experience:

The first day getting the cups in the mail, I think I was more excited than Kriztofer was, but he was even more excited when I showed him the cups with the little robot and truck pictures! After I finally was able to get them from him and take the cups out of the package, they were very easy to clean: I unscrewed the cap and was able to use the bottle cleaner for the cup itself, then I removed the Clever Bit, which is a white plastic piece attached to the cap to keep liquids from spilling out of the top. I rubber that is attached to the bit was easily removed to clean, and goes back on just as easily, and I was able to clean the inside of the mouthpiece with a bottle nipple cleaner.

The mouthpiece is a very soft rubber, and I can safely say is Kriztofer's favorite part of the cup because the entire first he had it, he was doing nothing but chewing on the mouthpiece, and I can tell he was very comfortable with it. I personally appreciate the rubber mouthpiece on this cup because his last sippy cup had a hard plastic piece, and I can tell he didn't enjoy it half as much as he enjoyed the Tommee Tippee cup!
The cup itself has plastic grips covered in a thin rubber for easy gripping, which is important when you have a son like mine who goes everywhere with his cup, and now I don't have to worry about it slipping out of his hands when we're out, or falling out of the cup holder, thanks to the rubber grip on the bottom of the cup as well.

My favorite part about this cup is that it TRULY is Spill and Leak proof, TRULY! I filled the cup with water and tipped it over, full, and not one drop came out of the sides or the mouthpiece. The other thing that helped was the hygeine cap, which my son knew immediately what it was for, and every time he was done drinking, he would put it over the mouthpiece and set the cup down.

All in all, I had a wonderful experience with the Tommee Tippe Explora easiflow Sippy Cups, and I know my son will enjoy them until we get him his Tommee Tippee Truly Spill Proof Water Bottle!

Best of all, One lucky Pagan Mommy reader will WIN her own set of Tommee Tippee Explora easiflow Sippy Cups! If you'd like a chance to win, just fill out the simple Rafflecopter form below. Good Luck!

THiNQ All-Natural Energy Drink Review!

So I had the pleasure of trying THiNQ. It's an all-natural sparkling energy drink that comes in two flavors, Mixed Berry and Citricity, and is meant to improve Focus, Energy, Mood, and Stamina. Here is the product description from the THiNQ website:
http://www.drinkthinq.com/

"AN INVIGORATING WHOLE BODY EXPERIENCE™

intelligently designed to work with your body on a cellular
level to awaken your mind, energize your body,
and exhilarate your spirit.
It's smart, wholesome and contains no artificial anything!"

About the bottle:
The bottle that you find on store shelves is reusable, and Eco-Friendly, meaning the bottle is composed of 100% recycled materials.

About the ingredients (From the Thinq Website):
Sweeteners:
Stevia (Rebiana) Stevia is quickly becoming one of today’s most coveted, all-natural sweeteners.  Used for hundreds of years by the Native Americans in Paraguay, stevia is much sweeter in taste than sugar yet with none of the calories.  We use Rebiana, also known as Reb-A, which is the purest, sweetest part of the stevia plant.
Pure Cane Sugar Pure cane sugar is considered a natural sugar, and is much healthier than artificial sweeteners. It adds just the right sweetness to enhance the desirable fruity notes of the natural flavors and fully rounds out the taste of the stevia.

Other Ingredients and their effects:
SAM-e: Multiple clinical trials have indicated that taking SAM on a regular basis may help fight depression, liver disease, and the pain of osteoarthritis.
Calcium: An important component of a healthy diet and a mineral necessary for life. Calcium plays an important role in building strong, dense bones in early life, and keeping bones healthy in later life.
Magnesium: A vital component of a healthy human diet, low levels of magnesium in the body has been associated with the development of a number of human illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
Vitamin D: Helps fight low bone density, has a protective effect against multiple sclerosis, and helps bolster your immune system.
Sodium: An essential nutrient that regulates blood volume, and blood pressure. It is also important in neuron function and osmoregulation between cells.
Potassium: Necessary for the function of all living cells. Potassium ion diffusion is a key mechanism in nerve transmission.
Vitamin B3: One of the forty to eighty essential human nutrients! Increases the levels of HDL in the blood and has been found to decrease the risk of cardiovascular issues.
Vitamin B6: Acts as a coenzyme to many other enzymes in the body that are involved metabolism.
Vitamin B12: Plays a key role in the normal functions of the brain and nervous system.
Açaí Extract: An antioxidant activity, that can help prevent heart disease and cancer.
CoQ10: Helps convert fats and sugars to energy, and is a very powerful antioxidant.
Ginkgo Biloba: Enhances memory and concentration.
L-Tyrosine: An amino acid that helps relieve symptoms of stress and fatigue.
Alpha-GPC: Enhances memory and cognition.
Pure Cane Sugar: The original natural sweetener that contains a number of essential nutrients and minerals that refined and white sugars do not.
GABA: An amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter to support brain processes.
Vinpocetine: Enhances cerebral blood-flow.
Suma: Increases oxygenation and energy efficiency at the cellular level, which supports hormonal balance, reduces inflammation, enhances immunity, increase libido, and provides a number of normalizing and rejuvenating effects.

My Experience with THiNQ:
I had the opportunity to try both flavors in THiNQ, and I must say, though they both were delicious, I personally enjoyed the Mixed Berry flavor the most. It tastes like a combination of Acai, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Pomegranate juice, but in carbonated form. Citricity tastes exactly like you would expect it to when you read the bottle. It's a citrus blend of tangerine (kind of like Orange juice), and I tasted a hint of pineapple and lemon as well. Though I didn't particularly enjoy the flavor carbonated, I had my father try one, and he on the other hand enjoyed it more than the Mixed Berry. So when it comes to the flavors, I think it's more about what you enjoy personally, and they taste best when chilled.
I drank the drinks two to three times a day, as they are meant for an active lifestyle, such as my own. The drinks tasted great cold, so every night I put a couple cans in the fridge, then drink them throughout the day. With THiNQ, I was able to go about my daily routine without feeling tired, even into the evening. It wasn't an unhealthy, jittery energy though, it was a relaxing energy, that allowed me to keep up with my two year old son and not have to take a break every 10 minutes from him wearing me out.

One of the other things I enjoyed about this drink is the sleek, thin shape of the can itself. I can easily fit it into my bag when I'm on the go, and it doesn't take up much space at all.

Overall, I had a great experience with the THiNQ energy drink! I kept me energized, yet calm, Focused and Alert all day, and best of all, no drowsiness and no crash!
So, drink THiNQ, it's healthy for you, all natural, and it's soda and juice combined. Who could ask for more in an energy drink!

Full Moon Nights

So last night we performed a Full Moon Ritual, me and my father. It was beautiful and serene, and while we were reading our incantations, I could feel the energy flow through me as I absorbed it from the moon, and I could hear and feel everything moving around me. All of nature really came to life last night under that moon, and it was incredible. The best part about it, is that no matter when we do them, every time we do our Full Moon rituals, it seems that it's the ritual that conjures up the most activity, and the most energy.
The picture above is from our last Full Moon ritual, last night I forgot to take pictures. If you notice at the top of the giant Pentacle cloth covering the door there is a light. Now, I took multiple pictures of the altar trying to get the lighting just right, and in the picture before this and the picture afterwards, that light was not there. Upon closer observance, there is a head attached to that light, and a body, which can only mean one thing....Our dragon friend dropped by to say hello, and to be nosy of course because dragons are very mischievous and curious creatures!
Anyways, I just wanted to share with you all what I have been up to, and let you all in on my world for a little bit. ^_^

If you are curious about this, or want to know more, please feel free to contact me either by comment here, or by e-mail, I check it frequently.
Blessed Be brothers and sisters, and as always keep it magickal!!

Silence Broken

Good Morning Ya'll!

Anyways, I am patiently awaiting the arrival of my first Tommee Tippee package, so the review and giveaway can begin, but until then I will be doing a few regular reviews, just so I can put a few of my favorite products out there. Yes, I know I didn't do this past weeks Friday Shout-Out, but I will do it this week, and I think I will change the name to Shout-Out Weekends, just in case Friday slips by me again ^_^! Anyways, Be on the lookout later today for my first review on a very sentimental product! Until then, everyone as always, keep it magickal!!
